Target Weighing

This ERP-Scale extension can be used to present the operator with a target weight and tolerance. It can only be used in customer developments and is ideally suited to a manufacturing environment.

The TargetWeigh extension is only to be used to assist the operator in weighing the correct amount. Your SAP custom transaction must verify that the weight returned by ERP-Scale meets the tolerance requirements.

To use this extension follow these steps:

  1. Download and install the extension.
  2. Open the ERP-Scale configuration utility.
  3. Activate the extension (under server settings/extensions) and "update" the server.
  4. Assign weighing method "Selector" to one of the devices and "update" the devices.
  5. In your custom development, assign values to the HUM_SCALE structure as follows:
    1. BRGEW - Target weight
    2. GEWEI - Unit of measure, must match UOM from scale
    3. DUMMY1 - Minimum weight
    4. DUMMY2 - Maximum weight
    5. TEXT - Text to display at top of Target Weigh form
    6. WAAGE - ERP-Scale device

Note:

  1. The TargetWeigh extension is only to be used to assist the operator in weighing the correct amount. Your SAP custom transaction must verify that the weight returned by ERP-Scale meets the tolerance requirements.
  2. The device will require a valid ERP-Scale licence.
  3. This extension is initially offered at no cost. No additional licence fee is required to use the extension, however if you require support and maintenance for this ERP-Scale extension you can purchase this at a cost of 10% of the value of your ERP-Scale annual maintenance or subscription cost.
